This coffee is sourced directly from the Villatoro family, a multi-generational coffee-producing family in the western highlands region of Guatemala. Due to the high elevation, volcanic soil, and unique microclimates, this region boasts some of the most unique and quality coffees our fair planet provides. The coffee here is ethically planted, grown, hand-picked, and processed by the Villatoro family. Coffee of this quality and exclusivity are rare to come by in the United States and abroad, and we have taken great care in micro-batch roasting them smoothly to their highest potential.

"Bourbon" is a reference to the sub-variety of the Coffea Arabica species, whereas "Lavado" is a reference to the "washed process" in which the coffee is allowed to ferment for a short period before being washed, dried, and bagged.
